External BT GPS + OBD reader BT - at once?

Hello
Car bmw 530xd e60 lci 2008 (ecu EDC16C35 – programming /chiptuning going via CAN not like in older EDC16C31 E60 nonLCI)
Racechrono pro 4.3.9
Mobile phone Meizu MX5 (chine phone but strong 8 core, 3gb RAM, Android 5.1, BT 4.1/BLE)
GPS/Data logger Holux RCV-3000 (with using some application I set/change “rate” into 10hz and such value I see in RC – seems to work properly /chipset MTK MT3329, 4mb flash memory, BT 2.0)
OBD BT reader – some “chine” /one of the cheapest/ – works for example with torque and also “partly” with RC… but is slow in my opinion
I’m new user of RC
1st time I set as BT device 1 – external GPS
GPS connected (connections to GPS: more than 5s but after it seems to work good and fast)
(without OBD reader)

2nd time I set as BT device 2 “OBD reader” … started and GPS connected but OBD couldn’t get connection
3rd time I started and get connection to OBD reader but not GPS!!!

Reason? BT in mobile phone should allow 2 devices connected at once.. or?

Question: there are also OBD reader WiFi ... does RC support such readers?

  • Generally there should be no problem with multiple Bluetooth devices, but it could be that the problem is caused either by the cheap OBD-II reader, or the phone. I'm guessing the OBD-II reader as they go against Bluetooth standard.

WiFi readers are not supported, as they are really painful to configure.
