TI SensorTag support

Hello aol,
First of all thanks for your very nice application.
I am racing motorcycles and would like to have access to the "real" angle of the bike (not the one calculated from the GPS).

I found the sensortag very interesting for this (Bluetooth, cheap:29$, and containing various sensors including accelerometer and gyroscope) : more information here: http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2650stk
I would not mind putting this directly on the frame of my bike (which I don't want to do now with my phone in case of crash)
Would it be possible to add its support ?

Thanks for all the work !

  • It's a neat idea, and I've actually purchased couple of these for testing already last year. The availability is a problem as it's really painful order process at TI, and they do not sell an actual product, but sort of a SDK. I wonder if this would be better https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/463050344/ruuvitag-open-source-bluetooth-sensor-beacon
  • Thanks for the quick answer aol !
How went your testing? Is it usable?
Regarding the ruuvitag sensor, it fails the gyroscope of the TI sensortag (for precise lean angle calculation), but may do the work also.

Another option would be to allow some kind of plugin system, to integrate other sensor platform (and users can then integrate their own hardware).
