race chrono pro cannot validate license

If I'm at a track that has bad reception and no wireless, I get a message saying race chrono pro cannot validate the user license and it won't start. This is very frustrating. When that happens I have to revert back to the free version. Am I doing something wrong?

Kyler, the Pro version checks the Play Store license once per few weeks. If you do not use RaceChrono Pro at all with WiFi or wireless data turned on, this will happen. You can solve it by temporarily joining to tethered WiFi from your main phone, or using RaceChrono Pro at home WiFi before going to the track. This will give you another few weeks before next check.

If you use the app with data even once in few weeks this will never happen.
  • What exactly do you need to do? After enabling WiFi, do you just start the application or do you need to press the START (start session) button? You probably need to wait a few moments for the application to access Google Play...
  • Just starting the app is enough, so that main screen is displayed. No need to start a session or anything like that.
