It would helpful for me, to understand how the time delta between a reference lap and the current lap is calculated. The time delta works pretty well, if every position on track is only passed one time every lap. This is the situation the feature is made for - I know. Example: The Start/Finishing line is passed every lap.
My special case is, that the Start/Finishing line is only passed every third lap. So on lap 1 I pass the finishing line and on lap 2 + 3 I shortcut the line (first lap cause Start/Finishing line is passed only ones - this is the reference lap).
On lap 4 I pass the finishing line again and on lap 5 + 6 I shortcut it again (second lap for Racechrono). And so on.
What happens in the the gauge is, that the values are jumping, but most of the time it is the difference to the first lap after crossing the finishing line. Is this random or is there a strategy behind it? Maybe there is an option to compare to the last time I hit the position on track to get a stable value especially for the last lap before crossing the finishing line again?
Thank you for any help.
