Screen time-out

Is there a way to keep the screen turned on longer than 10 minutes during driving? My son was testing his racechrono during a kart heat but after 10 minutes the screen times out and goes black. In Android there is no way to set a longer time-out than 10 minutes and there is also no never option. In for example TomTom the screen stays turned on so this probably is possible from within software to have this forced. Is it an option to implement this into racechrono also?
