And I think authors already knows about this link: http://www.velocitybox.co.uk/index.php/support/vbox-faqs.html#logging With article: "2. What is the format of a 'vbo' file?" So, format is the simple text file with similar to csv structure. Also there are many samples already exist in VBoxTools software.
Maybe somebody needs to use in Racelogic's tools some already logged data from the Android version of RaceChrono. So, as temporary solution, I created useful tool by myself. It can convert from csv file, generated by RaceChrono to vbo files. Can I put here sharing link for download my tool? (Because I don't know exactly about exe file sharing rules here)
I'mvery interested by this Racetools software. I have tried to convert the .csv file exported by Racechrono v.1.45 but your software returns me some errors. Sometimes it's "I/O Error 32", sometimes it's " '0.44590776' is not a valid timestamp".
Is your software working only for Android versions ?
Anyway, thanks for your job !
EDIT : What an idiot I am !! The VBO file exporting already exists on Racechrono v.1.45... I'm so sorry. But I'll try your software after this week-end, trying RC 2.21 for the first time :-)
I just used your tool to convert csv files exported from Racechrono for Android 2.21. Worked like a charm. Thanks very much or that.
It would be very nice to get a direct export to VBO from the Android app for us PerformanceBox/RaceLogic users. I used to have it in my S60 version and I really miss it.
Ok, my bad... It seems that VBOX writes separate avi files additionaly to VBO files... So now question is - how can I get RaceChrono recorded videos in proper format so I can see video in Circuit tools together with vbo data?
Unfortunately, I never had VBOX to check it out, I found these file examples and I can't see any differences from RC generated files http://www.trackday-instructor.co.uk/Video-Vbox-Data-Files.html In this tutorial below they ask to use special rename button so circuit tools could rename both .vbo and video files to keep them linked. So I think that filenames are important...
Does the current RC Android export video along with data to Circuit tools? I am trying to get to .vbo data only at the moment as per http://goo.gl/8cXlJj but this does interest me.
