CSV data doesn't look correct, would someone mind taking a look?

Hi All,

First time poster! :-)

I have used RaceChrono for a while and used it to overlay data onto my vids without issue (Race Render).

The data from my last outing at cadwell Park however doesn't work correctly when loaded into RR.

A quick look at the CSV file and there are no laps and the speeds seem low, I'm sure there are other columns that are incorrect too.

This has been sent from the Nexus 7 to my Windows 8 laptop via email.

Sessions look correct in the app on the tablet.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, I'm keen to use a couple of the sessions to put together an analysis on the functionality of my rear wing.

Many thanks, Matt

  • I cannot tell what's wrong just by looking at the screenshot. Maybe share the whole CSV.

Also, take a look at this, if you're using the free version: http://www.racechrono.com/forum/#/discussion/1147/exporting-feature-45-seconds-trial/
  • Is there a repository I can load the CSV file to or do I need to find somewhere to host?

I don't think the 45 sec limit should be affecting the export as it is completed quickly.
Would have no issue paying for a full version if I am confident that exporting and loading to racerender can be done quickly and reliably.

    Thanks, Matt
  • No repository sorry. The limit is for the exported file, not for the process. If you get the trial dialog before exporting, then you're limited. I'm sure it will work as before when you upgrade.
  • I have upgraded to the Analysis Pack now and have exported the file again (took much longer and bigger file this time so promising), but I can't find the exported file.

It's on a Nexus 7, previous exports were in the following location:
    This PC\Nexus 7\Internal storage\Android\data\com.racechrono.app\files\exports

    Any tips?

Easiest is click the overflow button on the exported file's row, and then share it to e-mail, DropBox etc. If you want to dig the file, you should find it from /Android/data/com.racechrono.app/files/exports/ on the internal storage. Try some file browsing app on the device itself, such as ES File Explorer, as the PC/Mac connectivity is buggy on Android.
