Any updates on this? I'm torn between the new Hero 12 and the Action 4 as neither have built in GPS now but overall the Action 4 seems like the better camera and the remote would be perfect for track footage

I have no idea how complex/time consuming will be to implement gps data like GoPro, however as more and more people use DJI cameras, there is definitely plenty of interest for a clean solution (no phone/receiver).

I'm really keen on the DJI GPS import support. With no new GoPro Hero this year, and strong performance from the DJI Action 5 and now the latest Action 6. DJI is taking a big share of the action camera market, while GoPro is going down. I have GoPro 8, 10 and DJI Action 5 Pro with GPS remote. Based on the picture quality, I really want to use Action 5 Pro when doing track day and go karting, but the need to manually sync the GPS from an external device is a pain when it actually has one built in.

Any news? In Oct 2023 you were considering it. Feb 2024 was still under consideration. Dec 2025 … Will there be light at the end of the tunnel in 2026?
