Happy user of RaceChrono Pro for my kart racing son.
I have two very important request.
- For karting it is really not idea to have the time delta locked at the end of the lap for about 5 seconds, Kart tracks can be as short of 20seconds. The problem with having the delta locked like that for so long is that one cannot see the useful data for the first few corners only after it gets unfrozen. It would be so lovely if you could add and option for this. I am sure anyone doing karting will be fine with just 1 second lock instead of the current 5 seconds of so. Would you please add such option in the settings. I hope you are clear about what I mean.
Here is a video example of what I mean: you can see crossing the finish line at time 0:58 in the video. Then the delta time (second screen from the top) gets locked in for too long. already done 2 corners before it gets cleared to next and you dont know where you lost/gained the time. 1 second is really enough for this kind of spots. We just need to see the active delta more all the time. Even right after crossing the finish line. This is a 48 sec track. - Sector delta time. This really surprises me that it not already a thing. If you have ever raced in kart, and you are trying to see in a given sector that you setup what race line would put you in green (while ignoring the entire lap, when just working on a sector). It would be lovely to have a field option that works like lap delta but instead of doing the whole lap, just comparing the active sector to the "best" sector even if just comparing to the best lap. Right now on live screen there is absolutely no use for sectors. It is only good for post analysis. If you added such a field option if would be useful for live screen.
Please let me know if both items explanations are clear. Or of you need a picture of video explanation.
