Their adapter circumvents the polling round trip required on the "de facto standard" ELM 327 adapters, so it is faster. We have their proprietary protocol, but have waited for it to mature a bit, before we implement it. So on RaceChrono currently we use the ELM 327 with Dragy OBD, so the data rate is much slower, but still good.
