storage on memory card in phone

Before the 10.2 update, I could easily choose the storage location on my Android phone, but this is no longer possible. I would like to save files to a memory card in the phone. How can I select this setting?

If I want to link the video files with the recordings and save them in the app.
I like to save it on memorycard on the phone, because my phone has not enough memory space.

You still can. Just place them to the same folder in Memory Card as previously. Then in Session's Videos list "+ Add files" and then "+ App raw video folder (External storage)". Should work just the same as it did before.

the files are on an external GoPro, so i can choose the source (GoPro) but i'm not able to choose where to store the files....

Well, this hasn't really changed with the 10.2 features. The video files were always imported to the internal storage. But I agree it would be nice to be able to use the external storage for that. That said, new popular phones rarely include a memory card slot anymore.

Change log for RaceChrono v10.1.4 for Android (6.5.2026):

Created new video list for sessions, which allows adding and importing video files easily to the session. New files containing GPS data are now automatically linked to the session (GoPro, DJI Action, Insta360 and Garmin video files are supported).
Media Store folders changed to “Movies/RaceChrono” folder for raw video files and to “Movies/RaceChrono exports” for exports. Previously both were under DCIM folder.
Added Video storage in Main screen menu for video file housekeeping
