I run track days in Lithuania with my beloved E46, and for the past five seasons I kept my setup changes in a Google Sheet. Tyre pressures, damper settings, ride height, all typed in between runs. And I'd forget to fill half of it in. The format changed every event because I kept trying to improve it. And my lap times were never in there anyway, they were in RaceChrono.
So I had the lap data in one place and a rough idea of what I'd changed in another, and I never once sat down at the end of a day and put the two together. I built SetMo to do that part for me: https://setmo.app
What it does
You pick what your car lets you adjust, pressures, camber, bars, dampers, wing, and you can add your own if something's missing. Every time you change something it saves as a new version, so you end up with a list of what you actually changed instead of a stack of full setup sheets.
Then you drop in a RaceChrono CSV export. Each stint comes in as a run with its laps, sectors, speeds and peak cornering and braking g force. If you didn't have a lap timer running that day, you can type a best lap in by hand (Just don't expect much lap data, obviously).
The main thing is the comparison. You pick two setups and it shows them next to each other: what you changed, what the lap did, sector by sector, with the air and track conditions and hot pressures for each. That last part turned out to matter more than I expected, because plenty of times a setup that looked faster was really just a cooler track.
Why I'm posting
This is the first version and so far I'm the only person who has used it, on one car, at one circuit. That's nowhere near enough to know what's actually wrong with it.
So if you have a few minutes to try it (Ideally at the trackday), I'd like to know:
What did you like, if anything?
What would you change? Anything awkward, confusing or just wrong.
What's missing? Features you'd want before you'd use this at a real track day.
Did the CSV import work with your exports? Different devices and session structures, especially if you stop and restart recording during a session.
Honest answers are more use to me than nice ones. If you try it and think it isn't worth the bother, I'd rather know that than hear nothing back.
