Hi, RaceSync is my step into creating a diy data logger, racing in the Honda Cb500 class in the UK i decided to see if i could build a device that is handsfree, dont want any distractions from a race weekend. Designed with trackdayers and amateur racers in mind, captures data on and esp32 and accurate 25Hz gps unit, files written to SD card. During testing it has been 100% reliable and very easy to use, logging is started and stopped automatic with speed thresholds working as triggers. Decided to output vbo files as have some experience with VBOX, stumbled across RaceChrono Pro and frankly blown away by the functionality. I was looking for an analysis tool that could easily interpret the data and also have global track support. Through testing i have found that the RaceChrono calculated laptimes are very accurate when compared to the official timing, this was my primary goal. Further to this the sector analysis on RaceChrono is of benefit.
Anybody wanting to have a go at building a RaceSync can freely use my ideas, i strongly recommend RaceChrono Pro for the analysis. Very easy, come in after a session, connect phone to RaceSync wifi access point, download vbo files, import into RaceChrono Pro.
RaceSync can also start and stop a go pro session to be paired with the captured data.
Give it a go!
Mike
