Install stuck or failed from Play Store

A few users have reported install failures in Google Play app. For some reason the Google Play app is malfunctioning for some users. If you are seeing a "Package File is Invalid" or comparable error when trying to download RaceChrono or any other app from Google Play please follow these instructions:

If you are using Android 4.4 and have changed from Dalvik runtime to ART runtime in Settings > Developer options, you will need to switch back to Dalvik runtime, and reinstall RaceChrono:

1) Backup your RaceChrono data if needed: http://www.racechrono.com/forum/#/discussion/1113/backing-up-racechrono-data-manually
2) Select Dalvik runtime in Settings > Developer options
3) Uninstall RaceChrono
4) Install RaceChrono again

If you are NOT using Android 4.4 with ART runtime, clearing Play Store cache should be enough:

1) Go your device's Settings menu.
2) Go to Applications (may also be labeled Application Manager).
3) Tab over to All Applications.
4) Open the Google Play Store app.
5) Tap on Clear Data and Clear Cache.
6) Relaunch Google Play and install RaceChrono again

Since this is an issue with the Google Play Store, for further support with this issue you will need to contact the Google Play Store customer support directly.
