RaceChrono on Porsche PCM with Android

Hello, I just got a 718 Cayman GT4 RS. On the internet I saw videos of Porsche driven on track were RaceChrono live time was displayed on the Porsche PCM. How did they do that? Did they use some external CarPlay devices - in such case can you recommend one? Many thanks!

My guess is an android multimedia device connected via USB. The head unit will also need Android Auto unlocked. Look for MMB Wireless devices.

Basically whats being done is the PCM is being software patched to allow for Android Auto hookup, and then the android device is given a screencasting software. Unfortunately the screencasting software usually requires the android device to also be software patched (or rooted) which is somewhat difficult to document because every version of android seems to be different.
