How real is speed presented on Graph view?

As in topic:
Is it comparable to real speed when driving straight ahead?
When riding on the curve (or in mountain :) ) things are more complicated...
GPS is in 5Hz mode.

    The speed displayed is the speed reported by GPS, so it is calculated from the Doppler effect causes by your movement. It should be much more accurate (and realistic) than the speed calculated from the data points. Not sure about the curve speeds, but maybe you will find the answer by studying the GPS technology.
