Purpose of My RaceChrono from Phone or Tablet?

At the bottom of the main Settings screen, there is a link to Sign-in to My RaceChrono. Please explain the purpose of My RaceChrono is? If you don't have a smart-phone or a tablet with a 3G data connection, there doesn't seem to be a need for any remote connection.

    Currently the purpose is accessing (and uploading) the Track Library. There might be another purposes in the future.

    The competing TrackAddict application uses it for live streaming (whatever it does) and uploading your lap times. I think uploading new track layouts is more important.
