gpx 1.1

Hi all,

is that somehow possible to make RaceChrono export GPX in version 1.1?

Thanks!

  • Just re-read my own post and thought I should clarify that I need to get version 1.1 of GPX XML from RaceChrono.

There is actually a GPX export, just change the type to GPX from the export dialog. There is a problem with the "Traveled route" scope in v1.00, as there are some extra tags generated, but this is fixed in v1.02 beta.

Or do you have problems in using the exported file?
  • Hi aol, thanks for your reply.

That's what I'm using, but resulting GPX is of version 1.0, while the latest one is 1.1. I tried to install both betas on my n73 (from over here http://www.racechrono.com/news/?p=59&lang=en), but neither of those could be installed on it.

Is there any other way around it?

    Cheers!
  • To use the betas you need to join the beta group. There is a news post about it. Is there much difference between 1.0 and 1.1? What is the software you need to have it working on?
  • I need to have gpx 1.1 to use it with http://gpstools.sourceforge.net/exifloc.html

All right. When I have time, I will take a look at that and see what is needed. Did you try to edit the file by hand, eg. version number from 1.0 to 1.1? There should not be much difference between 1.1 and 1.0.
  • I have fixed that by running XSLT on 1.0 files, so it's not an issue for me any more I guess.
    Thanks for your replies :)
