Unable to disable default camera

I'm unable to disable my default camera in my HTC as it stays in the "Connecting..." state forever. Because that camera is connecting I cannot start recording video.
I do not need the default camera as I have a GoPro.
My Setup

HTC Desire HD with cyanogenmod android 5
RaceChrono Pro
GoPro Hero 3+
QStarz 818XT

Why is there no timeout when connecting, or a way to disable when the internal camera does not work.

There is a way, but not sure if it works for you: Tap the internal camera box, and then the camera icon. The internal camera will become disabled then. Let me know if that doesn't work.

The camera icon is disabled when "connecting..." Is there a way to disable it in a config file of thru some other menu item?

I fixed my cyanogenmod installation. It's working now.
