Will laptimes log if disconnect from device the app is running on?

Hello!
I have my racechrono app on my cell and connected to the Qstarz 818st.

My question: If I leave my cell in the pit... will the app log the times when it reconnects after I come back from my session? Or does the phone need o stay connected to the GPS at all times to log correctly?

    The phone needs to stay connected with the GPS, otherwise there's no data (or lap times) logged. The Bluetooth range is not enough that you could leave your phone at the pits.
