Looking for data acquisition module for Racechrono (with bluetooth but no OBDII)

Hello,

I am looking for a data acquisition module for RaceChrono with bluetooth.

Unfortunately, I have no OBDII on my car, just a BUS CAN (magneti marelli ECU). I saw projects to reverse BUS CAN message but is it too much complicated for me.

So I am looking for a bluetooth module which is able to read analogic (ex: brake pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature) and numerique inputs (ex : RPM)

Do you have any idea for that ?

I'm afraid there's no commercial product for this, so it would be a DIY build...

You should be able to add an OBD-II port to your CAN BUS (like https://ansixauto.com/2022-brz-gt86-can-adapter/ does for GR86/gen2 BRZ), and then use OBDLink MX+ to read data from it.

Well, http://racedac.com/ project is still alive. Analog and "digital"/pulse inputs, and BT module all in one. Works with RaceChrono.

@NicoFunyo I’m using this device https://www.stannumembedded.se/kompletta-paket/komplett-obdx-pro-system.html together with OBDLink MX and a Samsung A7, so running RCP for Android.

Works like a charm so far, you do need to set your own PIDs and understand the configuring of the device which is through OBD commands. Right now I’m logging rpm, coolant temp, engine oil temp & pressure, MAP as well as brake light ”on” and tank volume in my Alfasud Sprint which is very far from OBD compliant originally… 😁
