Iphone satellites

why iphone can't find any satellite? internal gps receiver only says connected. on an Android phone, when I looked at the internal gps receiver section, it says connected and fixed to 27 satellites. what could this be?

    I don't know the answer, but my guess would be that iOS simply doesn't expose that information via the API.

    It's been a few years since I've done any iOS programming, but their APIs are pretty locked down in what they allow you to do/information gather.

    It's likely that iOS simply doesn't expose the number of satellites to any application which requests it. If it says connected and it works as expected in iOS, i'd just ignore it. You really don't want to use the internal 1 hz GPS anyway, it results in extremly inaccurate data.

    Yes, iOS does not expose the satellite count at all.
