The latest iPad OS 17 has been released, and as many of you probably know, it now supports USB-C webcams. After hearing this news, an idea came to mind. What if I mount an iPad Mini on the dashboard and connect it to an action camera like a GoPro via UVC (or action cameras supporting webcam mode without UVC)? This would enable immediate video recording for the dash cam, eliminating the need for cumbersome downloads from the action camera.
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm posting this in case no one has tried it yet. I have a cheap UVC adapter arriving tomorrow, so I'll give it a try and update.

Now I'm having similar concept in Android : Samsung 7 inch tablet + S10e by using the FLOW app which is available on Samsung devices only. It works but It's not stable..

i thought uvc external camera replaces the rear view camera but it didnt. it seems like the app needs to support a new feature allowing the external camera like facetime. hope aol develops this spec someday :)
